AIM-I conducts its own independent recruitment, organised directly by National Kaohsiung Normal University. It does not go through the University Entrance Committee for Individualized Study (UCAS), and is completely separate from Constellation, Individual Application, or Exam-based streams.
This programme was approved by the Ministry of Education in early 2026. The university conducts its own admission process every year, with the application period usually announced around November. Please check this programme's website and apply as soon as it opens.

Do I need a business background to apply?
Not at all. This programme builds foundational knowledge in ageing and industry from the ground up. All you need is curiosity and a connection to your cultural identity.
Do I need to live in Kaohsiung?
Not necessarily. The university provides dormitory applications, and students from outside Kaohsiung can apply with priority. We also have resources to help you settle in.
What careers can I pursue after graduating?
Long-term care manager, AgeTech entrepreneur, community organisation leader, cultural entrepreneur, government indigenous affairs officer: Taiwan's super-ageing society is rapidly expanding these roles.
What scholarships are available?
Indigenous students can apply for Council of Indigenous Peoples scholarships, university indigenous student grants, and county-level subsidies. Contact us. We'll help you identify every resource available to you.
I'm not sure if I'm a good fit. What should I do?

How is this different from a regular management degree?
We use indigenous knowledge as a core methodology, not an optional elective. Every activity connects to real industry experience. From year one, you build a verifiable portfolio, not just theory.
Is this programme only for indigenous students?
Yes. AIM-I is a programme specifically for students with indigenous identity. If you have a special circumstance, please write to us. We respond to every enquiry seriously.
Will I actually be able to find work after four years?
Taiwan became a super-aged society in 2025. AgeTech, long-term care management, and community organisations are all growing fast, with a widening talent gap. The combination of cultural knowledge, ageing expertise, and management skills is exactly what the market is looking for.
Will applying here conflict with Star Recommendation or Individual Application?
In most cases, no. AIM-I's "Indigenous Programme Separate Enrolment" has completely separate quotas from regular channels. However, if you are admitted through Star Recommendation, you cannot also apply through Individual Application that year. We recommend checking the annual prospectus or contacting us directly to confirm.
Do I need indigenous language proficiency certification?
For the regular exam placement channel, holding a language proficiency certificate increases the bonus from 10% to 35%. Whether AIM-I's separate enrolment requires this certificate depends on the annual prospectus. Please contact us. We respond to every question seriously.
